About

MIZBLACK is Maria Lukkarinen (though she goes by her artist moniker Mary Elizabeth Black), a freelance graphic designer and artist based in Hamburg (DE). Working as a creative partner in all aspects of visual communication, Black develops innovative and thoughtful design solutions for clients across varied fields — bringing brands, editorials, products and visual identities to life through print and digital implementations.

Originally from Finland, Mary studied fine arts and visual expression at Kouvola Region Vocational College with a focus in painting and photography, followed by BA (Hons) in Graphic Design at Prague College, Czech Republic. With a background in both, fine arts and graphic design, she holds a broad creative and technical skill set, offering services from graphic and editorial design to drawing, painting and photography.
